The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, with reference to the answer of 23 April 2026, to Question 122500, on Office for Nuclear Regulation: Contracts, whether the external spending on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion support was subject to an authorised exemption under the Cabinet Office's Civil Service Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Expenditure Guidance, and whether it will be reported in the next annual return on EDI expenditure.

The Office for Nuclear Regulation are an independent public corporation and are not subject to Cabinet Office controls, including the Cabinet Office’s Civil Service Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Expenditure guidance and reporting requirements.
