Electric Vehicles: Charging Points
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 2 June 2026 to Question 3445 on Electric Vehicles: Charging Points, what assessment she has made of the adequacy of the level of infrastructure to support potential demand for charging points in Huntingdon constituency.
Answered by Keir Mather
The Huntingdon constituency will benefit from Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority’s £6.1m allocation through the Government’s Local EV Infrastructure Fund. LEVI allocated capital and resource funding to all highest tier LAs in England to ensure equitable chargepoint rollout. Funding allocations were determined through an assessment of local authority need across variables including levels of off-street parking, existing charging infrastructure, rurality and deprivation levels.
