The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the answer of 2 June 2026 to Question 3823 on Chris Gibb, whether officials in her Department played in a role in the termination of Chris Gibb's appointment.

It was the DFT Operator Chair, Sir Andrew Haines, who decided to terminate Chris Gibb’s appointment. The Chair notified Department for Transport officials, as is usual.
