To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, how many and what proportion of Civil Service Pension Scheme members have been provided with an Annual Benefit Statement for a) 2024-25, b) 2023-24, c) 2022-23 and d) 2021-22.

The Civil Service Pension Scheme (CSPS) aims to issue Annual Benefit Statements (ABS) to all eligible active members. An ABS is an estimate of the member’s pension benefits as of 31 March each year, and the estimates are based on information provided by a member’s employer.
The number and proportion of Civil Service Pension Scheme members provided with an ABS for the requested periods are as follows. For the 2024-25 period, 577,835 statements were issued, representing 99.3% of the 581,938 eligible members, while 4,103 members (0.7%) did not receive a statement due to McCloud Remedy-related complexities.
For the 2023-24 period, 561,104 statements were issued, representing 98.2% of the 571,506 eligible members, with 10,402 members (1.8%) not receiving a statement for the same reason. For the preceding years of 2022-23 and 2021-22, 100% of eligible members were issued statements, totalling 545,477 and 533,427, respectively.
