Vetting Review

Asked by Mike WoodConservativeCabinet OfficeTabled Answered 29 June 2026UIN 7162

The question

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, what is the timetable for the review into Government security vetting to (a) conclude and (b) report; and whether there will be a public version of the report.

Answered by Dame Angela Eagle

Sir Adrian Fulford has been asked to carry out a review of the National Security Vetting process, which he is now taking forward. The Terms of Reference have been published.

As the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister confirmed to the House on 1st June 2026, the review will report shortly. A summary of Sir Adrian’s report, setting out his high level recommendations, will be published in due course.
