The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what mechanisms are in place between his Department and NHS England to minimise underspend in NHS capital budgets.

The Department works closely with NHS England to actively manage the National Health Service capital budget and minimise underspends. This includes regular in-year monitoring of capital expenditure.
