Planning Permission: Environment Protection

Asked by Sir James CleverlyConservativeMinistry of Housing, Communities and Local GovernmentTabled Answered 16 June 2026UIN 7458

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, with reference to the answer of 13 April 2026 to Question 122206, on Environment Protection for what reason the relevant documents were not deposited before prorogation.

Answered by Matthew Pennycook

My Department deposited the Environmental Principles Assessment for the December 2024 National Planning Policy Framework and the 2026 to 2036 Affordable Housing Programme on 15 April 2026.

The Library uploaded these documents on 17 April 2026 and they have been available since that date on the deposited papers website here.

However, we were informed that the documents were inadvertently solely recorded as House of Lords papers. The Library corrected this error on 9 June 2026.
