Lebanon: Surveillance

Asked by Iqbal MohamedIndependentMinistry of DefenceTabled Answered 16 June 2026UIN 7734

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether UK military (a) drone and (b) surveillance flights were conducted over Lebanese territory on the days of reported airstrikes in the past months; and if he will publish details of UK surveillance flights conducted over Lebanon.

Answered by Louise Sandher-Jones

The UK is not involved in Israeli actions in Lebanon and continues to call for a cessation to hostilities.

It is the Government’s longstanding position to not comment on intelligence operations and sharing arrangements to protect operational security.
