The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the Committee of Public Accounts Fifth Report of Session 2026-27 (HC95), paragraph 21, what progress he has made in restarting trials with Ajax by the end of 2026.

As advised within my last Written Ministerial Statement on 28 April 2026, we are considering a phased approach to the restarting of the Ajax programme. The first phase will include the restarting of the trials using the current version of Ajax.
As I have done since Exercise Titan Storm, I will continue to keep the House updated on progress of the Ajax programme.
