NHS: Racial Discrimination
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, when he plans to implement the recommendations in Lord Mann’s review into antisemitism and other forms of racism in the NHS.
Answered by Karin Smyth
The Government supports all recommendations from the Lord Mann review, accepting in full the recommendations for the Department and NHS England, subject to consultation and further stakeholder engagement where appropriate. Work to implement the recommendations has already commenced, and we are committed to supporting stakeholders and system partners in the delivery of recommendations that are within their remit.
As part of the Mann review implementation, the Government has committed to providing a progress update in six months, and a more detailed update 12 months from publication.
