Women: Managers
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, what estimate he has made of the level of representation of women in senior leadership positions across the UK private and public sectors.
Answered by Blair McDougall
The Government is committed to improving women’s representation in senior leadership positions. Through the FTSE Women Leaders Review, we support a voluntary, business-led approach to increasing women’s representation. The Review’s 2025 report shows that women now hold 43% of board positions and 36% of leadership roles across the FTSE 350. More work is needed in the most senior executive roles, including CEO and Chair positions, and the Government will continue to support this agenda for better representation.
