Asked by Mike WoodConservativeForeign, Commonwealth and Development OfficeTabled Answered 17 June 2026UIN 8062

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, with reference to the Civil Service 2024/2025 External Expenditure on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion publication, updated 6 May 2026, what the Diplomats for Equality event was; who attended that event; where it took place; who the suppliers were; and what the cost was.

Answered by Seema Malhotra

The event in question was used as an opportunity for external engagement between the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and dozens of staff from different countries working in London-based embassies, to share perspectives, build connections and promote inclusive workplaces. The event took place at the FCDO offices in King Charles Street, in January 2025, at a total cost of £2,036.36.
