The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what discussions he has had with his counterpart in the Republic of Ireland regarding defence co-operation.

The former Secretary of State for Defence (John Healey) held discussions with the Irish Defence Minister, Helen McEntee, where they discussed the UK-Ireland Defence Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as well as ongoing support for Ukraine in March 2026.

The Secretary of State has yet to meet his Irish counterpart.
