EU Budget: Contributions

Asked by Alex BurghartConservativeTreasuryTabled Answered 17 June 2026UIN 8151

The question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Pursuant to the answer of 29 May 2026, to Question 2058, on EU Budget: Contributions, what are the policy commitments which contribute to that cost other than Erasmus+.

Answered by Lucy Rigby

These policy commitments relate to the Government’s engagement with European partners to improve our economic and security cooperation in the UK’s national interest. They cover contributions towards EU agencies, systems and databases that the Government has negotiated access to, including road transport agencies (the Internal Market Information System Road Transport and the European Registers of Road Transport Undertakings), and the European Criminal Records Information System. These have an estimated combined cost lower than £1m in 2027.
