Army Reserve: Training
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what processes his Department has in place to ensure that Army reservists are issued with the equipment required for training without personal expense.
Answered by Mr Calvin Bailey
Army Reservists are issued the necessary clothing and equipment in line with authorised scales set out in Army Dress Regulations. These items are provided through the Defence supply system, which is responsible for issuing and tracking all required equipment. Additional kit is issued as needed for training and operations; personnel are not required to incur personal expense for items required for their duties.
