Radicalism: USA

Asked by David SimmondsConservativeHome OfficeTabled Answered 23 June 2026UIN 8275

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what assessment she has made of trends in the level of US funding of extreme far-right activism in the United Kingdom.

Answered by Dame Angela Eagle

The Government takes extremism seriously and we are committed to ensuring that we have the required understanding, tools and powers needed to address this issue.

Analysts within the Home Office assess all available information and intelligence in order to stay on top of the current extremism risk and threat picture across all ideologies. This includes looking at what capabilities actors of extreme right-wing concern have and how these are funded. We are not aware of specific current intelligence relating to this, but we are always seeking to work alongside partners to fill our intelligence gaps and improve intelligence collection where possible.
