Visas: India

Asked by James McMurdockIndependentHome OfficeTabled Answered 15 June 2026UIN 8474

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what data her Department holds on the number of India Young Professionals Scheme visas issued in each year since the scheme was established.

Answered by Mike Tapp

The Home Office publishes data on entry clearance visas by visa type, year and nationality, in the ‘Immigration System Statistics Quarterly Release’.

Data on grants of visa applications for the India Young Professionals Scheme are published in table ‘Vis_D02’ of the detailed entry clearance visas dataset and can be found by selecting Youth Mobility Scheme grants to Indian nationals. Information on how to use the dataset can be found in the ‘Notes’ page of the workbook.

The latest data relates up to the end of March 2026.
