Active Travel: Public Transport

Asked by Alex MayerLabourDepartment for TransportTabled Answered 22 June 2026UIN 8726

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what funding her Department provided in 2024/25 for mobility hubs to regional and local authorities in England.

Answered by Simon Lightwood

The Department for Transport did not provide funding to local authorities specifically for mobility hubs in 2024/25. It is for local authorities to decide on the best transport options for their areas. Some local authorities used Future Transport Zones funding in 2024/25 to support provision of mobility hubs. This funding was provided in 2020 and local authorities receiving the funding could spend it on a range of transport measures, including mobility hubs.
