Dangerous Dogs: Insurance
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what estimate her Department has made of the cost of re-issuing exemption certificates.
Answered by Stephen Morgan
A one-off cost to Government is expected, estimated to be between approximately £66,000 and £80,000. This includes staff time and the cost of issuing physical certificates, responding to related correspondence and printing and postage costs. There will be no cost to dog owners.
