To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many staff employed by Border Force (a) are contracted to work from home, (b) work from home on a full-time basis, and (c) work from home on a hybrid basis.

Border Force is responsible for securing the UK border through immigration and customs controls for people and goods at ports and airports across the UK and at juxtaposed locations. The majority of Border Force staff are based in frontline operational roles.
Border Force records show that fewer than 1% of the workforce are contracted homeworkers, in non-operational or headquarters functions. Staff who are not contractual homeworkers are assigned to a Border Force workplace. Information on their day‑to‑day working patterns, including full‑time or hybrid home working, is managed locally and is not held centrally.
