To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment her Department has made of the potential effect of a Zero Emission Vehicle mandate for heavy goods vehicles on private sector investment in alternative low-emission freight technologies.

We are exploring the potential regulatory design of a new framework and all options remain on the table. It is, therefore, too early to speculate on specific impacts but we will conduct a full review of all aspects of any final proposal for regulation.
