The Government’s 10-Year Health Plan will improve digital services in the National Health Service for patients and give them greater control and choice over their healthcare.
The Government expects NHS organisations to move direct-to-patient communication services to NHS Notify. This is a centralised, digital messaging service that allows NHS organisations to communicate directly with patients, and which uses the NHS App as the preferred method of contact.
NHS trusts are expected to transition to NHS Notify from 2026/27 and for migration to be completed by the end of 2028/29.
