Simpson Environmental Services: Air Pollution and Noise
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, pursuant to the Answer to Question 5375 on Simpson Environmental Services: Air Pollution and Noise, what assessment the Environment Agency has made of the source of dust and odour affecting the surrounding area.
Answered by Emma Hardy
The Environment Agency has confirmed that monitoring in response to pollution reports has been undertaken on several occasions. Dust and odour complaints were not substantiated as originating from the site during the monitoring periods. Dust, pollen and air pollution was generally seen to increase during dry weather.
