To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, pursuant to the Answer to Question 5375 on Simpson Environmental Services: Air Pollution and Noise, whether inspections carried out by the Environment Agency at the Simpsons Environmental Services Ltd site in Slough were announced or unannounced.

The Environment Agency inspections were unannounced.
The only time that the Environment Agency announces visits is if it needs to meet with the operator specifically. The preference is to conduct unannounced inspections which are either inspections, or reviews of data / monitoring.
In 2025-2026 there have been 6 site inspection Compliance Assessment Report Forms at the Simpsons Environmental Services Ltd site in Slough, all of which were unannounced.
