The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what funding has been provided to Lancashire local authorities for homelessness prevention in 2025-26.

The Homelessness Prevention Grant (HPG) was allocated to councils across England based on local homelessness pressures and is used to meet local needs. This funding is in addition to the Local Government Finance Settlement, which is also used to fund homelessness services.

In 2025/26, a total of £8,855,800 Homelessness Prevention Grant funding was provided to Lancashire local authorities, including Burnley, Chorley, Fylde, Hyndburn, Lancaster, Pendle, Preston, Ribble Valley, Rossendale, South Ribble, West Lancashire, Wyre, Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool.
