Palantir: Databases
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether his Department’s contract with Palantir permits interoperability with other Palantir platforms in government; and what assurances his Department has received that systems used for live operational decision‑making cannot receive data originating from NHS patient records.
Answered by Luke Pollard
The Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) arrangements with Palantir do not permit automatic or unrestricted interoperability with other Palantir platforms across Government; any data integration is subject to strict MOD control and governance.
MOD systems are separate from NHS systems, and Palantir platforms used by MOD cannot be used to process NHS patient records for live operational decision‑making. Robust controls ensure that only appropriately authorised Defence data is used within these platforms.
