Public Sector: Procurement

Asked by Mike WoodConservativeCabinet OfficeTabled Answered 22 June 2026UIN 9328

The question

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, what proportion of Government expenditure on goods and services was undertaken via collaborative procurement programmes in the last year for which figures are available.

Answered by Chris Ward

The Government Commercial Agency (GCA) - which channelled £33 billion of public sector direct spend in 2024/25 through its commercial agreements - is the largest provider of collaborative procurement programmes for common goods and services in the public sector. Information on spend through collaborative procurement programmes is not held centrally.
