Child Nutrition Fund

Asked by Wendy MortonConservativeForeign, Commonwealth and Development OfficeTabled Answered 22 June 2026UIN 9573

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether she plans to disburse the full pledged contribution to the Child Nutrition Fund in 2026-27; and what assessment she has made of the potential merits of a further multi-year funding commitment to that Fund.

Answered by Chris Elmore

I refer the Rt Hon Member to the answers given to Questions 89032 on 18 November 2025, 91556 and 91557 on 25 November 2025, and 96353 on 8 December 2025, which set out the UK's approach to improving nutrition for women and children, including our role as a co‑founder and Board member of the Child Nutrition Fund (CNF), and details of UK funding and disbursements.

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office continues to support the Child Nutrition Fund as part of the UK's wider commitment to tackle global malnutrition and improve outcomes for vulnerable women and children, and has disbursed a total of £18.4 million to it since its inception.
