Asylum: Housing

Asked by Neil Duncan-JordanLabourHome OfficeTabled Answered 23 June 2026UIN 9854

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what alternative accommodation will be used to house asylum seekers when the use of hotels comes to an end.

Answered by Alex Norris

This Government has committed to closing every asylum hotel as soon as possible, and by the end of this Parliament. Work is well under way, with more suitable sites, including military bases, being brought forward to ease pressure on communities.
