Defence: Finance

Asked by James MacClearyLiberal DemocratMinistry of DefenceTabled Answered 23 June 2026UIN 9887

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the 2025 Defence Industrial Strategy 2025: Making Defence an Engine for Growth, when his Department plans to issue a 5 year Acquisition Pipeline.

Answered by Luke Pollard

With the implementation of the Procurement Act 2023, all government departments, including the Ministry of Defence, are required to publish details of potential future procurements on the Cabinet Office’s Find a Tender Service (Central Digital Platform) through a UK1 Pipeline Notice for each procurement.

The MOD fully complies with these transparency obligations and strives to publish potential future requirements as early as possible once they are identified. As per the ambition set out in the DIS, we will move towards a longer term 5-year pipeline over the next 2-3 years.
