Driving Tests
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what legislative changes have the Government introduced to make it an offence for a person to book, amend, cancel or swap a driving test on behalf of another person.
Answered by Simon Lightwood
Amendments to The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations 1999, which came into force on 27 April and implemented by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency on 12 May, clarifies that only the person taking the practical car driving test can book a test appointment.
