G20

Asked by Adam JogeeLabourForeign, Commonwealth and Development OfficeTabled Answered 16 June 2026UIN 900445

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what discussions she has had with Cabinet colleagues on the UK's priorities for the G20 Summit in the US.

Answered by Chris Elmore

The G20 Leaders’ Summit will take place in Florida in December, preceded by the meeting of Foreign Ministers in Georgia in October, and the meeting of Finance Ministers in North Carolina in August.

All these meetings will have at their heart the need to restore growth and stability to the world economy, and to deal with the ongoing impact of the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz.

It is in all our interests for these meetings to be a success, and we are working closely with our US counterparts towards that end.
