Gambling Commission: Resignations
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, with reference to the answer of 20 April 2026 to Question 125684 on Gambling Commission: Business Interests, what the job titles were of those three staff; and whether any other staff have been given permission to take up such roles but have not yet left the Commission.
Answered by Ian Murray
Given the specific nature of job titles and ability to individually identify employees, these titles have not been provided. However, one individual from a director level role, two individuals from operational level roles and one individual at executive level have left the Gambling Commission to work in the gambling industry. In all instances, conflict of interest protocols will apply.
Since July 2024, in addition to the four individuals mentioned above, three individuals have left the Gambling Commission to take up employment at organisations regulated by the Commission.
