Small Businesses: Conditions of Employment
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, what discussions he has had with the Small Business Regulatory Taskforce on the impact of employment regulation on the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Answered by Blair McDougall
The Small Business Regulatory Taskforce has met once since its establishment. Discussion at that meeting focused on the Taskforce’s priorities as published on gov.uk and forward work programme, and so did not include substantive consideration of employment regulation. The Government expects the Taskforce’s future meetings and workstreams to include consideration of a range of regulatory issues affecting small and medium-sized enterprises. The Government will continue to consider the impact of employment regulation on businesses as part of its wider approach to supporting growth.
