The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, where the Government's new Place Unit will be based.

I refer the hon. Member to the Written Ministerial Statement made on 16 June 2026 (HCWS117) which announced the establishment of the Place Unit as part of a package of communities and public service reform. This Unit is based in MHCLG and works closely with No10 to drive change across government, with staff spread across the department’s London and regional offices.
