Cost of Living: Wales

Asked by Ann DaviesPlaid CymruWales OfficeTabled Answered 17 June 2026UIN 900391

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, what steps she is taking to support households with the cost of living in Wales.

Answered by Jo Stevens

Improving the cost of living is the UK Labour Government’s number one priority.

That is why we took £117 off people’s energy bills, expanded the Warm Home Discount, increased the minimum and living wage, universal credit and pensions, and we have frozen the tax paid at the petrol pump until the end of this year.
