To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to the Policy Lab and Government Skills case study, Shaping a people centred Civil Service skills system, of 8 June 2026, how much was spent on the sensory and participatory ethnography workshops, and whether (a) Andean knotting and (b) clay modelling will be adopted more widely by the National School of Government and Public Services.

£28,000 was spent on sensory and participatory ethnography workshops as part of the “Navigating the civil service skills system” research project delivered by PolicyLab.
The National School of Government and Public Services will conduct and draw on a wide range of research and evaluation in its approaches to learning and development.
