Ministry of Defence: Departmental Responsibilities

Asked by James CartlidgeConservativeMinistry of DefenceTabled Answered 29 June 2026UIN 10683

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the implications for his Department's policies of the personal statement by the Rt Hon. Member for Rawmarsh and Conisbrough on 16 June 2026, Official Report, Col 731.

Answered by Luke Pollard

I was in the House for the statement and want to thank my Rt Hon. Friend for his service to our nation and the Government. This Government remains resolute in ensuring the UK is secure and prepared against adversaries. These priorities will continue to guide the Government following the publication of the Defence Investment Plan.
