Asked by Dr Al PinkertonLiberal DemocratMinistry of Housing, Communities and Local GovernmentTabled Answered 25 June 2026UIN 10793

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what steps he is taking to support local authorities in Surrey to (a) develop and (b) adopt local plans.

Answered by Matthew Pennycook

In 2025-26, the government provided over £15 million through the Local Plan Implementation Fund to support local planning authorities with plan-making. This included eight local authorities in Surrey who each received £108,474.57.

I otherwise refer the hon. Member to the Written Ministerial Statement made on 27 November 2025 (HCWS1104).
