To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what assessment her Department has made of the potential merits of designating the Eurostar terminal at St Pancras International station as a CITES Point of Entry.

This Government, including UK Border Force officials, regularly review the feasibility of potential UK CITES Points of Entry and Exit.
This Government’s most recent assessment in 2025 concluded that the terminal does not have the necessary capacity or infrastructure to be designated as a CITES Point of Entry and Exit.
Therefore, there are currently no plans to designate St Pancras as a CITES Point of Entry. We will revisit this decision if circumstances change.
