Asked by Shivani RajaConservativeDepartment for TransportTabled Answered 23 June 2026UIN 11215

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 15 June 2026 to Question 7211 on Network Rail: Biodiversity, how much Network Rail has spent on external environmental consultancies in relation to the preparation of habitat management plans since the start of Control Period 7.

Answered by Keir Mather

Network Rail does not hold information on expenditure on external environmental consultancies specifically related to the preparation of habitat management plans since the start of Control Period 7. Such costs are typically captured within broader environmental and asset management budgets and are not routinely reported as a standalone category.
