Tiverton High School: Repairs and Maintenance

Asked by Rachel GilmourLiberal DemocratDepartment for EducationTabled Answered 26 June 2026UIN 11298

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what recent progress has been made in delivering the School Rebuilding Programme for Tiverton High School.

Answered by Josh MacAlister

The project is at pre-feasibility stage, and the department is undertaking technical work and planning appraisals. Work to date suggests that significant development of the school will be required, and that this may not be permitted by the planning authority on the current site due to its location in a flood zone. The department has identified a potential alternative location for the school and is in discussions with interested parties.
