To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what actions have her department taken regarding the online sale of lithium-ion batteries that could be used in an unsafe manner on e-bikes.

My Department has previously published guidance to consumers on e-bike battery safety.
More recently, the Department for Business and Trade has consulted on regulations to address the sale of unsafe products bought online. This follows the introduction of the Product Regulation and Metrology Act 2025.
