To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what estimate he has made of the number of patients in Essex with HER2-low metastatic breast cancer who would be eligible for treatment with Enhertu were it to be routinely commissioned.

In July 2024, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) estimated that approximately 1,000 to 1,500 people would have been eligible for treatment with trastuzumab deruxtecan (Enhertu) for HER2-low metastatic or unresectable breast cancer after chemotherapy, had NICE been able to recommend it.
Information on the annual cost to the National Health Service of routinely commissioning Enhertu for eligible patients is commercially sensitive.
Data on the number of patients in Essex with HER2-low metastatic breast cancer who would be eligible for treatment with Enhertu is not held centrally.
