To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how many overseas visits officials from her Department have undertaken for aviation security purposes since 4 July 2024; what the destination was of each visit; what the cost was of each visit; what the purpose was of each visit; and how many officials attended each visit.

The Department for Transport (DfT) works with international partners to support the strengthening of aviation security standards with some last points of departure to the UK. This engagement includes technical cooperation, working with multilaterals and in‑country visits where necessary to provide assurance, share best practice and support effective delivery at airports.
It would be disproportionate cost to provide fully verified and robust data on all aviation security trips since July 2024, in particular covering the specific reason(s) for each individual visit. In addition, disclosing which countries had been visited and how often would not be in the public interest regarding our overall national security.
