To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to his Department's press release entitled Defence Housing Strategy: A £9bn ‘generational renewal' for forces family housing and 100,000 new homes on MOD land to drive growth, published on 2 November 2025, whether he remains committed to spending £9 billion on the Defence Housing Strategy.

We inherited military family housing in an appalling state. We have made improving defence housing a priority for the Government and satisfaction with our housing is up in the latest Continuous Attitude Survey.
The Defence Housing Strategy was published on 3 November, setting out 67 recommendations to renew Service Family Accommodation. The recommendations were accepted by the Government in full, and is backed by £9 billion investment over ten years, through which around 90% of military homes will be upgraded, renewed or rebuilt.
The Defence Secretary announced total investment of £9 billion over the next decade to deliver the Strategy, funded by the Government’s record uplift in defence spending. Around £4 billion will be spent this Parliament, with around £5 billion spent next Parliament.
