Housing: Planning Permission
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what requirements local planning authorities have to consult him on planning decisions in relation to housing where they are minded to refuse the application; and what provisions are in place for consulting on proposed Green Belt development.
Answered by Matthew Pennycook
Requirements for local planning authorities to consult the Secretary of State on planning decisions are set out in The Town and Country Planning (Consultation) (England) Direction 2024 and The Town and Country Planning (Consultation) (England) Direction 2026.
