Asked by Mr Richard HoldenConservativeDepartment for TransportTabled Answered 30 June 2026UIN 11761

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what expenditure was incurred under the Sustainable Travel Estimate Line in 2025-26 by (a) project and programme, (b) business area, (c) capital departmental expenditure limit and (d) resource departmental expenditure limit.

Answered by Simon Lightwood

The Department’s Annual Report and Accounts for 2025-26 are currently undergoing external audit by the National Audit Office. These are due to be laid in Parliament in week commencing 13th July 2026, subject to certification by the Comptroller & Auditor General. Once laid and published, the audited accounts will set out capital and resource spending by estimate line within the Statement of Outturn against Parliamentary Supply. An analysis of spending in this estimate line by project, programme and business area can be provided if requested after the publication of the audited accounts.
