EU Countries: Visas
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what representations she has made to Schengen area member state embassies in London regarding (a) levels of availability of publicly available Schengen visa appointment slots for individual applicants and (b) the use of automated software by third-party agencies to acquire and resell those appointment slots at higher prices.
Answered by Stephen Doughty
The issuing of Schengen visas, including the management of visa application systems and appointment availability, is a matter for individual Schengen States, which set and enforce their own entry requirements and visa processes.
Individuals experiencing difficulties with Schengen visa applications should contact the relevant embassy, consulate or visa application provider for further advice.
