To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, with reference to the Department for Work and Pensions' press release entitled LinkedIn and government join forces to help jobseekers build their careers, published on 15 June 2026, what estimate he has made of the number of jobseekers expected to benefit from the partnership in each of the next five years.

The joint project between Skills England and LinkedIn aims to use the data held by LinkedIn to provide a better understanding of the labour market, job opportunities and how individuals successfully progress in their careers. The work will build on data that DWP already holds including job advert data, and bring LinkedIn’s unique member level data which will allow career trajectories to be mapped.
The joint work with LinkedIn is similar to other projects, such as the joint work with the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/entry-level-hiring-in-the-uk-a-snapshot/a-snapshot-of-entry-level-hiring-in-the-uk) and other international bodies (https://economicgraph.linkedin.com/data-for-impact).
